You will join a welcoming multidisciplinary team where culture is celebrated, collaboration is encouraged and innovation is supported. As AWAHS continues to grow, so do the opportunities to influence new programs, strengthen community wellbeing and help shape the future of Aboriginal health.
What You Will Do
• Design and deliver innovative health promotion initiatives
• Develop exciting health campaigns that engage community
• Build trusted relationships with Elders, families and community organisations
• Coordinate health events, education sessions and wellbeing activities
• Create promotional resources, digital content and social media campaigns
• Identify emerging health priorities and develop practical responses
• Promote AWAHS programs and services across the region
• Work collaboratively with health providers, schools and community partners
• Evaluate programs and continually improve community participation and outcomes
• Represent AWAHS on regional health, community and NAIDOC committees
• Facilitate regular Health Promotion team meetings
About You
You are:
• Experience in Health Promotion, Community Development, Public Health or a related field
• Strong knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience coordinating successful community programs or events
• Creative thinking and the confidence to develop new initiatives
• Experience developing promotional material and digital content
• Excellent organisational and project management skills
