Are you a passionate Registered Nurse with qualifications in Child and Family Health? Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of local Aboriginal children and families?

AWAHS is seeking a dedicated Child and Family Health Nurse to deliver culturally sensitive, community-based care to Aboriginal children (0–6 years) and their families across the Albury Wodonga region. Join a multidisciplinary Maternal team committed to providing first-class, holistic health care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver universal and sustained home visiting programs to families with newborns
  • Conduct health surveillance and screening for children aged 0–6
  • Support parenting through education, counselling, and group sessions
  • Promote early intervention and health promotion
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver integrated care
  • Participate in immunisation programs
  • Advocate for culturally safe healthcare practices and environments

What You’ll Bring:

  • Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Graduate Certificate in Child and Family Health Nursing (or equivalent)
  • Desirable: Midwifery registration and postgraduate qualifications in Child and Family Health
  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities and a commitment to community development
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • Current driver’s licence and clearances (WWCC, Police Check)
