AWAHS is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation providing culturally appropriate primary healthcare and support to the Aboriginal community across Albury Wodonga.
We are looking for a Dentist and an Oral Health Therapist to join our dental team at Glenroy. We would love to hear from clinicians who are passionate about oral health and want the time and opportunity to build relationships, educate, prevent and make a genuine difference.
Our vision is simple but important, to work alongside the Aboriginal community to create generational health change.
This is not about rushing people through the chair. It is about providing high-quality dental care in an environment where people, relationships and long term health outcomes matter.
As part of AWAHS you will work within a broader multidisciplinary health service alongside Aboriginal Health Workers, GPs, nurses and other health professionals with a strong emphasis on respectful, culturally safe and holistic care.
You do not need to have worked in Aboriginal health before, what matters is your willingness to listen, learn, build relationships and provide respectful, culturally safe care.
Depending on your profession and scope of practice your work may include clinical assessment and treatment, preventative and restorative care, oral health education and promotion, referrals and supporting clients to improve their ongoing oral health and wellbeing.
DENTIST Part Time-3 days per week
We are looking for an appropriately qualified and registered Dentist to provide quality clinical care while contributing to the broader work of the AWAHS dental service. The Dentist role is paid at $105 per hour.
You will also have an opportunity to provide professional support and leadership within the dental team and work collaboratively with Oral Health Therapists, Dental Assistants and other AWAHS staff.
ORAL HEALTH THERAPIST Casual - 2 to 3 days per week
We are looking for a qualified and appropriately registered OHT with an interest in preventative care, education and improving long-term oral health.
The current salary is $36 to $44 per hour depending on skills and experience. We are happy to discuss working arrangements that might suit the right person.
